Scott Millar could almost be considered the king of the kids.
Opened in May of 2015, Scott has worked tirelessly to provide a high quality cafe for Lara locals and visitors alike. Lara now has a dining option of a standard previously unseen in the area, but also a haven for young families to relax and enjoy the beautiful environment surrounding the venue.
Being a parent himself, Scott has intentionally arranged tables and chairs to fit prams and strollers and often sets up high chairs around the couch area.
Scott is a qualified chef. Brought up in Kerang, near Swan Hill, he worked in five star hotels and restaurants before becoming head chef at Truffleduck at Fyansford.
I love hospitality but, owning my own venture was always my goal. I wanted to bring artisan coffee out to Lara.
Customer’s are aware of Geelong’s best cafes and their coffees so I was determined to set a benchmark for Lara.
Scott’s passion for locally sourced produce and high quality ingredients is evident in the Millars Lara menu.
